How to make columns in HTML without a table or CSS?
I’m updating a web page. I have a nifty piece of code that can make sections of text disappear or reappear as needed; to do that I need to identify the section of text with
My text is in a three-column table of about 100 rows. I need to group the rows into 5
a) Get
b) Convert the table to some other kind of three-column text display,
c) Learn how to use CSS.
Which is the fastest?
Peter, wouldn’t that mean I’d have to learn how to use both Notepad++ as well as CSS? Wouldn’t that take longer?

Learn to code correctly by dumping the tables for your page layout. They have never been part of the web standards anyway. They were used mostly because CSS was in its infancy and people had no other way to layout a page. Today, it is just pure laziness to use tables for page layout,
That JavaScript code you are going to use, uses a CSS file and you will have to know how to make changes to it to style your JS code for your page.
Without tables and using divs/css, it would be very easy to do a nice layout.
