What are the risks of going ‘bare’ with the dental prep without the temp crown?
I was having an allergic reaction to the silica based Dental Crown and took it off with my finger nail about 10 days ago. A dentist has seen me and felt I have super hygiene and can continue to just ‘go bare’ until I find a suitable non-allergen crown for myself. Gold with all my amalgams was hurting my gums just holding a lab sample in the mouth for 15 minutes so I can not ‘go gold’. I think it created like a battery effect (9 amalgams mixed with the high noble gold). What are the risks to the prep if I continut to not have a crown on it for the next 3-4 weeks? It feels find. I know it is vital as certain temps remind me. Otherwise although it is already low to the gum, it seems alright. Any advice? Any other metal that would be more compatible with the ‘silver’ fillings?
What you will have no control of is when you are without a temp for that long the tooth will supra erupt until it hits the opposing tooth above or below it. Thus when the permanent crown is placed it will not fit properly.
